More than 4,000 obstetrical deliveries and several hundred gynecological procedures are performed through Arrowhead Regional Medical Center annually. In a typical year, there are more than 30,000 outpatient visits to our Women's Health Center.
This program teaches Physician Assistant Residents to manage complicated and non-complicated antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, postoperative, and acutely ill OB and GYN patients. The curriculum also includes L&D triage management, ER consultations, experience with evaluating and treating common GYN complaints, and routine OB and GYN outpatient care. Residents typically graduated with having performed over 200 vaginal deliveries and first assist in over 50 cesarean sections.
ARMC is one of Southern California's premier hospitals. Located 50 mile east of Los Angeles at the foot of the San Bernardino Mountains. ARMC was founded as a charity hospital in 1877. Today it is a newer, progressive, 373-bed teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma, and Burn Center.
Riverside County Regional Medical Center (RCRMC) is located in the City of Moreno Valley, centrally located and accessible for all areas of Riverside County.
A teaching hospital accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), RCRMC offers training programs for nursing students, medical residents, and allied health professionals attending Riverside Community College, Loma Linda University, Western College of Health Services, and other facilities.
RCRMC has the capacity to manage 200,000 patient visits in specialty outpatient clinics; the Emergency Room/Trauma Unit has the capacity to manage 100,000 patient visits annually. Employees and staff are at approximately 2,100.
